About Customers, Tenants, Users, and Groups

Access to Jumio Portal is controlled through customers, tenants, users, and groups. A customer is a parent organization that owns one or more tenants. Each tenant has their own set of configuration options for the Portal and integrations. A user belongs to a customer, and may have access to one or more of the tenants belonging to the customer. A group represents a set of permissions, and a user may be assigned to one or more groups.

When a new customer joins Jumio, a new user is created with admin privileges, and a default tenant is created for the customer.

If a user belongs to multiple tenants, they will have the option to select a tenant at login. While logged in, a user can switch tenants from their user profile.
